In the traditional Hakka customs, Lei Cha is an important form for Hakka people to receive friends. The enclosed house of Tulou also reflects the teamwork and cooperation of Hakka people. However, as time changes, these traditional interactions eventually fade out.
The study uses a self-brand “lui ho sii” to translate the Hakka representative and cultural symbol “Lei Cha” and “Tulou” into tea sets and brick tea to recall this forgotten interaction. The traditional reception form of Hakka people for friends reinitiate the conversation between young people and Hakka.
